Mr. Edgar Clyde R. Lopez presented his paper entitled "Fe/S Co-doped Titanium Dioxide Nanotubes: Optimization of the Photoelectrocatalytic Degradation Kinetics of Phenol Red" during the 4th International Conference on Nanomaterials and Biomaterials (ICNB 2020), Virtual Conference held last December 25-27, 2020.

Mr. Edgar Clyde R. Lopez was given the Best Paper Award under the Environment and Infrastructure Track for his presentation entitled "Colorimetric Detection of Copper Ions in Water using Polymer-decorated Silver Nanoparticles" during the 1st Engineering Research and Development for Technology National Conference (ERDT Nat. Con. 2020) held online last December 7 - 11, 2020.

HydroPEC is hailed as one of the Top 9 finalists in the Tech Planter in the Philippines 2020. The team is composed of Ms. Cheska Mae Aldana, Ms. Mary Faith delas Alas, and Ms. Jeanette Vivien Jalalon, Mr. Edgar Clyde R. Lopez, Mr. Marlon Mopon Jr., and Dr. Jem Valerie D. Perez. The demo day was held online last August  8, 2020.

Mr. Edgar Clyde R. Lopez successfully defended his PhD dissertation proposal entitled "Synthesis of Transition Metal - based Cyclodextrin Metal-organic Frameworks for Carbon Dioxide Capture" in partial fulfillment for the requirements of the degree Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering last June 11, 2020.

Ms. Cheska Mae Aldana, Ms. Mary Faith delas Alas, and Ms. Jeanette Vivien Jalalon, all BS Chemical Engineering undergraduate students, bested other researchers across the Philippines in the recently concluded Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers Undergraduate Research Competition (PIChE URC 2020) during the National Student Congress, held at the SMX Convention Center, Bacolod City, February 20, 2020.
